7:47 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by a 17-year-old Cranberry Township girl, who police did not identify, struck an embankment on West Road near Valencia Road in Forward Township and rolled onto its side. The girl, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate head and hip injuries at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Tuesday - A meat slicer valued at $2,233 was taken between Friday and Tuesday in a burglary at the Moraine Elementary School on North Main Street in Prospect.
Tuesday - The driver of an unidentified vehicle between 2 and 4:50 a.m. struck a utility pole along Green Manor Drive in Summit Township and drove off after the crash.
Tuesday - Ten to 12 pieces of aluminum material were stolen from outside Standard Bent Glass and Metal on Lincoln Avenue in East Butler. The material, each piece measuring 10 feet by 4 inches by 2 inches, was taken between Oct. 6 and 11.
6:06 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Barry Blum Jr., 26, of Slippery Rock struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Covert Road in Brady Township. Blum, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with a moderate head injury to Butler Memorial Hospital. His condition was not known this morning.
4:58 p.m. Saturday - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on West Parker Road near Porter Road in Muddy Creek Township.
Police said the crash occurred when a car driven by Dale Cornetti, 54, of Cherry Township crossed the road and collided head-on with a sport utility vehicle driven by Wesley Hedglin, 41, of Slippery Rock
Cornetti suffered serious injuries; he and a passenger in his car, Victoria Cornetti, 49, of Cherry Township, who suffered moderate injuries, were taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Hedglin was treated for moderate injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital, The conditions of the three were not known this morning. Police said Hedglin was wearing a seat belt; it was not immediately known if the Cornettis were wearing seat belts.
9:30 a.m. Friday - An unidentified green Geo Tracker struck and damaged a farm fence along Bruin Road in Washington Township and drove off after the crash. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.
Sept. 28 - Police said an 89-year-old Prospect woman was the target of a would-be scam. The woman received a letter in mail from the so-called "National Awards Commission" that promised her $1 million if she sent them $11.89. But instead of doing what the letter asked, she called police. Police said the letter was mailed from St. Louis, Mo.
