5:13 p.m. Wednesday - Three people were arrested following a reported fight near the Island Playground. Police were alerted that one of the suspects had dropped a gun during the fracas.The reported weapon turned out to be a facsimile handgun allegedly used by James Evans, 20, no known address, to threaten a 17-year-old boy whom police did not identify.Evans was arraigned and charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $7,000. The boy was cited for disorderly conduct.A third suspect, Derek Guidos, no age given and no known address, was jailed after officers found he was wanted on an arrest warrant by Richland Township police in Allegheny County.

3:50 p.m. Thursday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Rosalie Leri, 64, of Butler traveled off Evans City Road and Limberline Lane and struck a wood fence and two utility poles. The SUV traveled back onto the road, crossed both lanes and struck another wooden fence. Leri was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.

5:24 a.m. Thursday - Cars driven by Walter Divers, 39, of Petrolia and Richard Steele, 26, of Chicora collided at Old Brick and Hilliards Road in Washington Township. Both drivers, who were wearing seat belts, suffered minor injuries. Steele was treated at Butler Memorial.Wednesday - A cell phone, assorted compact discs and a CD case were taken between 5:40 and 6:12 a.m. from a pair of vehicles on Petrolia Road in Fairview Township. Jill Troutman and Chris Rucker of Petrolia own the stolen property.July 16 - Someone broke into a garage and took about $10 from a desk drawer in a burglary at the Calairi Lane home of Mike Pears in Donegal Township. The burglary occurred between 5 p.m. July 15 and 10 a.m. July 16.

Wednesday - Vandals smashed the windows of four construction vehicles at a work site on Route 66 in Manor Township, Armstrong County. Damage in the vandalism, which occurred between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, was estimated at $900. Golden Triangle Construction of Imperial, Allegheny County owns the vehicle.
