First, I would like to say how grateful I am that you still publish a print edition! My elderly mother, who doesn’t have a computer, looks forward to the delivery of her newspaper every day, and she often calls to share various stories of interest with me as I live out of state.

Your newspaper is a great resource for those who don’t have internet, and I think you do a great job of not only covering the spectrum of local and national news, but also providing uplifting stories and various points of view on things. Thus, I commend you for publishing the “daily message” from various religious leaders. My mom has cut them out and they have brought her great comfort.

During this time of crisis and polarization within our country, I think it is more important than ever that we all pull together, regardless of our beliefs.

Our strength as a nation has always been our freedoms; secured by the sacrifices of so many and preserved through our Constitution. Freedom of the press ensures that all viewpoints can be heard. In the spirit of our freedoms I applaud you for publishing the diverse prayers and insights from various faiths.

These may help reach a wider audience and affirm that every voice in this country has a right to be heard. I hope that readers of all faiths find something positive in each of your issues.
