BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College’s men’s basketball team dropped a 125-93 decision to Allegheny College of Md. Monday.

Andrew Yonker scored 29 points for the Pioneers while Julian Sanks added 26. Jake Slomers had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Cole McCarthy and Dom Schmidt 10 points each. Noah McLean had 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

The BC3 women fell to Niagara (25-1), 99-53. Michaella Roth scored 17 points, Casey Kretzer 14 and Jenna Heitzenrater 10. Alexis Barnhart grabbed 18 rebounds.

[naviga:h3]3 county drivers win at Meadows[/naviga:h3]

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Three Butler County drivers guided horses to victory during Tuesday’s harness racing card at The Meadows.

Brady Brown of Slippery Rock drove Art of Norma to a win in an $11,500 Filly & Mare Conditioned Pace. Shawn Johnston of Evans City led Broadway Kabam to a win in an $11,500 Conditioned Trot.

Aaron Johnston, Shawn’s brother, led Liberty Party to a win in a $6,000 Filly & Mare Claiming Pace. Johnston also trains the horse, which is owned by Jennifer Johnston of Evans City and Brian Taylor of Prospect.
