KC grad Kamenski wins 400-meter hurdles

SLIPPERY ROCK — Karns City graduate and Westminster College senior Anthony Kamenski won the 400-meter hurdles at Slippery Rock University’s John Papa Invitational on Thursday.

Kamenski’s time of 54.77 seconds ranks No. 2 in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference this season. He also finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles.

Butler grad Busler shines in relay

SLIPPERY ROCK — Butler graduate and Grove City College sophomore Isaac Busler ran a leg of the Wolverines’ 4x400 relay that won at the Slippery Rock University John Papa Invitational on Friday.

The relay’s time of 3 minutes, 21.97 seconds is the third fastest in the 4x400 in school history. Busler also placed fifth in the 800 meters.

SV grad Yurich nets tennis wins

GREENVILLE — Seneca Valley graduate Madi Yurich, a member of the Thiel College women’s tennis team, won a pair of matches in the Tomcats’ 8-1 win over La Roche recently.

Yurich teamed with Morgan Gerber for an 8-1 win at No. 23 doubles and was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 6 singles.

Anderson now SRU’s winningest pitcher

SLIPPERY ROCK — Kelsi Anderson became Slippery Rock University’s all-time winningest softball pitcher with an 8-0 no-hitter against Edinboro on Thursday.

The victory was the 34th of Anderson’s career, snapping the record of 33 set by Brooke Dawson from 2015-18. The no-hitter was the first tossed by a Rock softball pitcher since Emily Lobdell turned the trivia against Bluefield State 11 years ago.
