Brown scores win in harness racing

WASHINGTON, PA. — Slippery Rock resident Brady Brown drove Sandbetweenmytoes to victory during harness racing action Saturday at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.

The 7-year-old gelding captured a $12,500 Conditioned Pace in 1 minute, 53.2 seconds. His career bankroll is $784,355.

NC’s Rocco makes all-state team

CRANBERRY TWP — North Catholic senior Alayna Rocco has been named first team all-state in Class 4A girls basketball by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers.

Rocco averaged 19 points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists for the Trojanettes this season. She is headed to Harvard and scored 1,716 points in her high school career.
