BUTLER TWP — Mackenzie Craig had 21 assists, Emily Magusiak seven kills, eight aces and 13 digs Friday as the Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team (5-2, 3-0) defeated Pennsylvania Highlands, 3-0.

Scores of the match were 25-9, 25-8, 25-10.

Maddie Morella had seven kills and 12 digs, Brooke Snow five kills and four aces, Emilee Beck nine digs.

The Pioneers host Penn State Beaver at 6 p.m. Monday.

[naviga:h3]5 drivers get wins at Lernerville[/naviga:h3]

BUFFALO TWP — Andrew Gordon won the Homak Penn-Ohio Pro Stock feature Saturday night during Lernerville Speedway’s annual Autumn-Motive Fest.

Gordon beat Chris Schneider to the checkered flag.

Corey McPherson, Lernerville’s 2018 Pro Stocks points champion, won the RUSH Pro Stocks feature. Steve Kenawell Jr. earned his first career Lernerville win in the Allegheny Sprint Tour feature.

Saxonburg’s Tyler Dietz won the Pro Stock Non-Qualifier’s race while John Hartman claimed the RUSH Pro Stock Non-Winners Race.
