[naviga:h3]Butler grad Rader earns all-academic[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — Butler graduate Josh Rader, a junior on the Slippery Rock University cross country team, has been named an Academic All-American.

Rader has a grade point average above 3.25 and was SRU’s third finisher — 79th overall — at the NCAA Championships.

Two other SRU cross country runners — senior Daniel Janyska and sophomore Jeremy Parsons — received Academic All-American honors.

[naviga:h3]Stutz triple-double sparks BC3 men[/naviga:h3]

BUTLER TWP — Butler graduate Joel Stutz produced a triple-double — 28 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists — in leading the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team to a 100-73 win over CCAC Boyce recently.

Jace Stutz had 17 points and 17 rebounds, Brendan Record 17 points, Josh Knochel and Ian McElroy 11 points each.

BC3’s women dropped an 82-72 decision to Potomac State despite 30 points and 12 rebounds from Mackenzie Craig. Carly Burdett had 23 points and 10 rebounds, Lydia Roth 19 points and 10 assists for the Pioneers (5-18, 3-3).
