I think it is outrageous the county is considering imposing a $5 fee (tax) on our vehicles. Years ago on a snowy night, I saw a young girl in tears. Her older car had just broken down and she was begging complete strangers for a ride home to northern Butler County. What have our politicians done for this young lady? They have done absolutely nothing, but they sure have hurt her. They gave her the highest gas tax in the nation, they gave her higher licensing fees and registration fees, they even charge her $52 for the right to work in the center of Butler County. And they currently are plotting a $25 fee and calling it State Police Protection money.

The county commissioners should be helping and not hurting young girls. The politicians only care about themselves, their relatives and their friends with their tax-and-spend and backroom deals.
