Farewell old friend

Just a short note to my old ball field at Winfield School: My summers were spent there as a youth playing baseball nearly every day with my childhood buddies, then as an adult playing softball, and later as a father teaching my son the game of baseball.
There was always the dream of playing for a Major League club and being a real ballplayer. I lived in the era of Mantle, Mays and Matthews: these guys were our heroes. Many friends and memories were made on that old ball field, never to be forgotten. Thanks for all the good times.
