BROCKWAY — Several Butler County area football players will be participating in the second annual Frank Varischetti All-Star Game June 30 at Brockway High School.

The game is designed to showcase the best football talent in District 9. The format pits the AML all-stars against the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference All-Stars.

Graduated seniors participate and were nominated and selected by coaches of the respective leagues.

The game will also award scholarships to a number of players.

Representing Karns City in the contest are Cullen Williams, Kaiden Powers, Dalton Jones, Carter Dunmyre, Eric Dodd, Jesse Allen and Aaron Hutchison.

Representing Moniteau are Dalton Anderson, Dillin Anderson and Tyler Kerr.

Representing Union/A-C Valley are Dana Logue IV, Kody Wolfe, Brad Armagost, Leroy Cratty and Quintin Crissman.

Nine players in the game earned all-state recognition last season, including Karns City’s Dunmyre and Union/A-C Valley’s Logue IV.

Kane coach Todd Silfies will guide the AML squad while Clarion coach Larry Wiser will head the KSAC unit. The AML won last year’s game, 27-20.

This game coincides with Brockway’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for children.
