Saxonburg woman charged with interfering with child custody
A Saxonburg woman is accused of stealing a man’s insurance information, interfering with the custody of a child and directing a child to break the law, according to Adams Township police.
Sara Suzanne Primrose, 42, was charged Friday, Oct. 16, with felony interference with child custody and one misdemeanor count each of identity theft and corruption of minors following an investigation in August and September.
Police said the investigated originated from an anonymous report alleging a juvenile was being inappropriately touched. During the investigation, police learned the juvenile’s mother had a Protection From Intimidation order which included the child against Primrose.
Police said it was determined Primrose had to still be speaking with the child. In one instance, Primrose allegedly told the juvenile to record a conversation her mother was having without consent, which is against the law in Pennsylvania, according to police.
Police said Primrose also encouraged the child to lie to their parents about their location and who they were with to spend time with Primrose. In another instance, police said Primrose told the child to steal her father’s insurance information for Primroseso she could make a medical appointment for the child.
Primrose’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 2 before District Judge Amy Marcinkiewicz.
