The Butler Junior High wrestling team improved to 7-1 on the year with a 68-33 victory over North Allegheny Black.

Winning by fall for the Golden Tornado were Sammy Dietrich at 100 pounds, Caleb Baxter at 110, Zack Hunka at 122 and Hank Finan at 155. Eli Hartung won by injury default.

Scotty Dietrich at 115 and Christian Sequete at 145 won by major decision.

The Butler elementary wrestling team competed at the North Allegheny Young Guns Novice Tournament recently.

Vance Jackson captured first place in the 10U, 55 pound division) while Levi Donnell was runner-up in the 8U, 50-pound category.

Zach Slomers (10U, 100) and Logan Donnel (12U, 80) finished in third place in their respective divisions wand Andrew Arbanas (12U, 100) was fourth.

BasketballButler’s eighth-grade boys Gold team suffered a 24-20 loss to Mars recently.
