Butler’s junior high wrestling team finished its dual match season with a 47-39 win over West Allegheny recently.

The Golden Tornado (14-2) received pins from Sammy Dietrich, Donovan Malovich, Caleb Baxter, Zack Hunka, Zack Dovenspike and Hank Finan.

Scotty Dietrich won by technical fall while Eli Hartung and Jacob White won by decision.

Butler will conclude its season at the Southwest Regional Championships this weekend.

Basketball

First Baptist Elementary defeated Seeds of Faith, 20-5, as Ben Drake had eight points, eight rebounds and four steals, Donavan Uber eight points and eight steals. Aaron Yeager had five rebounds.
