The Butler County Symphony Orchestra and the Butler Senior High School orchestra are performing a side-by-side concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.

The “Arthur Fiedler’s Pops” concert is a result of the county symphony’s Orchestra Partnership Program, a new educational outreach initiative.

The program brings the symphony’s maestro and musicians into the rehearsal room of the Butler Senior High School orchestra to coach and rehearse with the students. High school students also receive free tickets to multiple Butler symphony concerts.

The program is free to the Butler Area School District. The county symphony relies on donors and patrons to make these programs possible. People wishing to donate to county symphony can visit www.butlersymphony.org or call 724-283-1402.

Cranberry Elks holding Band Jam

The Cranberry Elks Lodge 2249 is hosting a Band Jam at 7 p.m. Saturday at the lodge, 20720 Route 19.

As many as 30 in-house singers and musicians will perform songs selected by Elks members.

The group will also performing 40 songs at the Hard Rock Cafe in Station Square in Pittsburgh at 8 p.m. March 20.
