Middlesex OKs development plans

Homes, retail project approved

MIDDLESEX TWP — Middlesex supervisors made short work of approving three development and lot plans in different stages Wednesday night.

Supervisors unanimously approved the third phase of the Middlesex Crossing plan, a NWPA Property Development project.

The phase includes the construction of single-family homes on 21 lots and townhouses on 24 lots. Approval of Phase 3 was tabled at the June meeting after residents voiced concerns about drainage issues.

Chris Kaclik of Kaclik Builders — which is developing the site — reported issues are being or have been resolved after “many conversations” with Butler Conservation District. Controls were implemented both on and off site.

“I think everybody's on the same page,” Kaclik said.

Resident Robert Foster, who approached supervisors last month claiming drainage issues on his property caused by the development, stood behind Kaclik. Foster did note he still had some issues.

“We're going to work through it,” Foster announced.

Supervisors also approved preliminary and final land development plans to construct a Middlesex Crossing retail building.

The OK for the subdivision of the Heindl plan of lots was given, too. This allows two parcels to be combined into one and subdivided into three new single-family lots.
