[naviga:h3]DUI Task Force plans checkpoints[/naviga:h3]

The Butler County DUI Task Force will conduct impaired-driving enforcement countywide for the St. Patrick’s holiday period from Saturday to March 22.

The operations will include sobriety checkpoints and roving DUI patrols, authorities said.

Police remind motorists that in Pennsylvania, the legal limit for alcohol is 0.08 percent for most drivers and 0.04 percent for commercial vehicle drivers.

[naviga:h3]Dinner to benefit backpack program[/naviga:h3]

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be conducted Wednesday in Lyndora for the Kids Weekend Backpack Program.

The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave, Lyndora.

The dinner will serve a buffet offering pasta, meatballs, salad, cupcakes, and a beverage. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children, ages 4 to 12. It’s free those age 3 and younger.
