EVANS CITY — A Mars woman recently had her charges held for court from an incident in June when she allegedly assaulted a police officer.

Tiffany A. Blystone, 25, was arrested on June 12 for suspected drunken driving at the 7-Eleven convenience store at the intersection of Route 228 and Mars-Valencia Road, according to court records.

When the officer asked her to place her hands behind her back, she allegedly did not comply and kicked him several times. While struggling, she was allegedly screaming profanities and saying things like “someone help me,” “rape” and “I plead the 5th.”

Blystone is charged with felony aggravated assault, resisting arrest, DUI and disorderly conduct. She is free on a $2,000 bail after being arraigned and booked into the Butler County Prison June 28.
