A former Renfrew man pleaded guilty in cases involving threats, trespass and drug possession in Butler County Court on Wednesday.

Andrew J. Walagura, 35, who now resides at a rehabilitation center in Indiana County, pleaded guilty to felony criminal trespass, misdemeanor harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia before Judge Timothy McCune.

The plea agreements call for a sentence of three to 12 months in Butler County Prison, with immediate parole on time served when he is sentenced on Jan. 4. The sentence also includes probation following the parole and fines.

Walagura was initially charged with felony burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property after an incident on June 15; misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and summary driving on a suspended license on June 17; and misdemeanor terroristic threats and harassment on June 21.

Penn Township police filed the charges in the June 15 incident after Walagura broke into his parents' home the 100 block of Renfrew Road, Penn Township, by forcing open a back door, and stole a handgun that he later traded for 40 bags of heroin.

In the June 17 incident, township police said Walagura was found with 25 stamp bags of heroin during a traffic stop on Route 8 near Diehl Automotive.

A search of the van turned up 20 stamp bags and four empty bags of suspected heroin, three syringes, a spoon and a crack pipe.

The June 21 charges stem from an incident where police say Walagura threatened his mother using phone messages.
