Cranberry Township police have charged two men with indecent exposure following separate incidents in the parking lots of a Lowe’s and the Homison Chiropractic Center.

Brandon R. Wearing, 36, will appear in front of District Judge David Kovach on Aug. 9 on charges he was touching himself in his vehicle while staring at a woman in the parking lot of the Lowe’s on Route 228 on May 10.

Police said Wearing of Callery exited the store near the garden center shortly after the woman and walked to his red pickup.

“The unknown reaches his vehicle, opens the front door and sits in the driver seat for several moments without shutting the door,” Officer Randall Bauer wrote in his affidavit of probable cause. “His actions during this time period cannot be observed” in surveillance footage.

Police identified Wearing via the debit card he used during checkout, the affidavit states.

Following an interview, Wearing allegedly provided police with a written confession, according to Bauer’s affidavit.

Vernon Majewski of Harmony was found hiding in a bush wearing just his socks and shoes, police said. According to Officer Eric Meyers’ affidavit, the 49-year-old was found when someone called about a suspicious person. He allegedly tried fleeing by entering a locked, marked police car.

“His clothes were later found in the passenger seat of his vehicle parked a short distance away,” Meyers’ affidavit reads. “Majewski was taken into custody and stated he had consumed several malt beverages.”

Wearing is charged with indecent exposure and open lewdness, second- and third-degree misdemeanors, respectively. If convicted, he could spend up to three years in confinement and up to $7,000 in fines.

Majewski is charged with indecent exposure and public drunkenness, facing up to two years and 90 days in jail and $5,300 in fines.
