The Butler boys track and field team swept the long and triple jumps as well as the shot put and javelin to knock off North Hills 93-57 in section action Wednesday.

Butler outscored the Indians 52-11 in the field events.

Darius Hightower earned wins in the 100 and 200 for Butler (4-0).

Elsewhere:

• Kyle Armagost captured the shot put, javelin and triple jump while Josh Franiewski, Dustin Geagan and Alex Edmonds won two events apiece to power the Warriors boys squad to the 119-30 KSAC win.

In the girls meet, Courtney Catterall won the 100, 200 and long jump while Nikki Yeckel won both hurdles events, Ashley Brehm the 3,200 and javelin and Heather Porter the pole vault and high jump in a 112-38 victory.

• Tyler Marsinetti won both hurdles events and Dustin Scheerbaum the 100 and 200 and both were members of the winning 400-meter relay team as the Karns City boys (3-0) downed Cranberry 86½-62½.

The Gremlins girls also captured a KSAC win, an 89-61 decision against the Berries as Brittany Lessner, Kara Yasika and Emily Schumacher each won two individual events.

• A-C Valley's Alex Ford won the 100 and long jump, C.J. Adams won both hurdles and the two teamed up to help the winning 400 relay team, but Clarion prevailed 84-66.

In the girls meet, Emily Quaill and Meredith Snyder won two events each, but the Falcons fell 95-55.
