ADAMS TWP — One person died and three others needed medical attention after they fell off a roof on Huch Road early Monday.

Robert Scanlon, Adams Township's assistant chief of police, said one person was pronounced dead at the scene at 158 Huch Road. Authorities did not release the name of the individual who died.

Two others were transported via STAT MedEvac to UPMC Presbyterian for medical care and one was transported via ambulance, Scanlon said.

The initial call for the roofing accident came at 7:52 a.m.

All four victims were believed to be working on the roof at the time of their falls. Scanlon was unable to confirm if they were working for a company or privately on the roof.

Scanlon said aside from Adams Township police and fire first responders, units from Quality EMS, Cranberry Township EMS, Middlesex Township Police Department, Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Company and Callery Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene.

The call was cleared by 9:45 a.m.

No further information on the status of the three victims receiving medical care was available.
