West Nile virus was found in mosquitoes collected from Butler, according to the Mercer County Conservation District.

This is the ninth sample to test positive for the virus in Butler County this year, according to a news release.

Additional monitoring will be done in the area where these mosquito samples were collected. Appropriate control work will be conducted, “depending on the number and types of mosquitoes that are found,” the conservation district said.

At this time, no human cases of West Nile virus have been reported in Butler County
