Middlesex Township down one supervisor after Marshall resigns
MIDDLESEX TWP — The township’s board of supervisors is down to two members after the resignation of Supervisor Don Marshall, which was announced during the monthly work session Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Fellow Supervisor Michael Spreng said Marshall did not give a reason for his decision.
“All he did was tell me he was done,” Spreng said. “I wasn’t going to ask him.”
During Wednesday’s meeting, the two remaining board members voted to appoint planning commission member James “Hap” Evans to Marshall’s vacant seat on the board, which expires at the end of 2027.
Evans, who did not attend Wednesday’s meeting, has two weeks to decide whether to accept the position.
“If he does accept, he could be sworn in before the next meeting (on Nov. 18),” Spreng said.
If Evans does accept, he is expected to resign from the planning commission, opening another vacancy there.
