About Mark and Sher
The real topic here is parents being responsible. I don't think any of us including myself are nearly as diligent as our parents were in protecting us. It was easier for them because the world wasn't as evil as today. But sending kids out unsupervised or placing kids in adult situations before they can handle them is our fault. Previous generations were much more guarded. Kids, especially girls are dressing way beyond their years which attracts and older boy or man who ignores the difference in age and maturity and abuses the situation. Perhaps nothing negative will come of the little girl riding her bike carelessly on the road or the grade school girls wearing two ton of make-up to make them look older but as a parent I couldn't sleep if I let my child wander into a dangerous situation by trying to win a trophy to give me something to brag about. There are lots of years for competing and being the object of attention. Let them be little girls instead of what you are making them into.
