I read Matt's comments with much amusement. I could tell it came fro a young person who has never served and is easily led one way or another by TV news. John Kerry is one of the few people that could and did make President Bush look good. Kerry failed to unseat the incumbent with probably the worst four years ever. That was amazing. I agree with that Kerry meant to be funny about the President but he is so bad in public that he blew it and made himself look in Matt's words "Moronic". The real lesson here is to try not to speak ill of others and it can't blow up in your face. I thought the Republicans were in real trouble (and they might still be) but John Kerry put his rich little foot in his mouth and did as much to hurt the Democratic effort as Foley did to tghe Republicans. Any Democrate that loses a close election should blame Kerry's big mouth and likewise the Republican party owes him a huge thank you. They deserved to lose but Kerry baled them out.
