Maybe Butler or Cranberry might require gymnastics but I both of my nieces cheer for Grove City one is in a high school squad and the other in jv squad and neither went to a gymnastic class. I also know Slippery Rock cheerleaders and they also never stepped into a gymnastic class. And by the way my niece who is in the jv squad well her squad won second place in a competition with other schools. So I don't think being in gymnastics from age 3 on will help you in cheerleading. I think it is a talent that some have just like being artistic or coordinated.
