I too attended Moniteau. Give it wasn't the best school, but it was definatly not the worse school either. Looking back on those years they were the best of my life. Give there were some things that weren't so great, but those teachers were some of my best memories. I miss the games, and the dances. I have three kids, and it was my choice to stay in the area, and they attend Moniteau District. We don't have the problems like the bigger schools do. There are some there, but not as bad.
As far as the rivalry between Moniteau and KC. That has been there for many years. KC never had good sportsmanship at any games ever. Give they might beat us playing, but their attitudes make them the losing team. I might just be a fan of Moniteau, but I do know how Karns City has acted in the past. I'm not saying some of us Moniteau people don't disrespect the other team either, but KC has no respect for us anyways.
Being a parent and a lifer of Moniteau I am teaching my kids to respect everyone, and no matter if you win or lose as long as you did your best then you did great. I have also taught them it doesn't matter the color of skin you have it's your attitude that makes you good or bad. I have learned that from my teachers, and my mother. I hope my kids will carry that knowledge on, and hope that other parents do the same.
