Baptism
Okay everyone. Let's all stop and think a minute. Why are we all bashing each other and acting so unchristlike? Are our attitudes revealing Christ in our hearts or anger and judgement in our attitudes? Every denomination has their own interpretation of what the scripture says. If we are all believing in and devoted to the same Christ who offers salvation by his grace then does it really matter what ritualistically interpretted method of baptism is used? I am thrilled to see people making the choice to take that step in their life. What's important is that they understand the magnitude of the actions being taken and that it is not just time to make that step because it's what you are supposed to do to fit in. If you are happy with your denomination than good for you and praise the Lord! We each have our own preferance as to how we worship and serve. Just like some like contemporary church service and some like old hymns. Frankly, I could care less if you are catholic, baptist, or presbyterian. Or if you were baptized as a child or adult. It is not for us to judge where someone elses heart is with God. He knows each of us more intimatly than we know ourselves. We all need to focus on the unbelieving and where we ourselves are with our relationship in regards to the Lord instead of smashing each others denominational interpretations. We obviously love and worship the same God so let's show to those who read this site that may not know the Lord by our attitudes towards each other.
