Following two false bomb threats called into the Butler County Government Center Thursday afternoon, another search was done this morning of county buildings.

“We’re taking extra precautions this morning,” said Sheriff Mike Slupe. “We’re going to do it again.”

Repeating the process done Thursday, all three county buildings, including the courthouse and human services building, were searched.

Slupe received the “all clear” a little after 8 a.m. today.

He said Thursday the buildings were not evacuated since nothing suspicious was found.

“We followed our procedures,” Slupe said.

The prothonotary’s office received the first call at 12:50 p.m., followed by the human services building at 2:20 p.m.
