ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library will host a decorated pumpkin contest as part of the annual Country Fall Festival in Zelienople and Harmony.

Pumpkins may be picked up at the library between Sept. 26 and Oct. 1 for a dollar donation. Pumpkins are to be decorated, not carved or cut, and returned to the library by Oct. 3.

Prizes in adult and children’s divisions will be awarded.

The public may vote on the “People’s Choice” winners.

After being judged, the pumpkins will be distributed to Main Street businesses to decorate their windows during the Fall Festival, which is Oct. 8 and 9.

Children who find the store displaying their pumpkin can go to the Room to Grow toy store for a finder’s prize. Room to Grow, 146 S. Main St., is a sponsor of the contest, along with the library and the Zelienople Area Business Association.
