Bauer

Peter A. "Pete" Bauer, 87, of Palm Springs, Fla., died peacefully Saturday at the Hospice of Palm Beach County, West Palm Beach, Fla., after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.

He was born in Butler, April 18, 1919, and moved to Lake Worth, Fla., in 1956.

Mr. Bauer was a World War II Army veteran. He served from March 1941 to July 1945 and saw battle action in Normandy, France, Belgium and Germany.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth; two daughters Kathleen and Sue Ellen; and the "apple of his eye," his granddaughter, Kelli. He also is survived by a sister, Mary Anderson of Butler, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Carolyn, who died in July 2005.

<B>BAUER</B> — A gathering of the family and friends of Peter A. "Pete" Bauer, who died Saturday, March 17, 2007, will be from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at <B>THOMPSON-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E.
