Police: Man ran wife's vehicle off road
A man is accused of forcing a vehicle — occupied by his estranged wife, the couple's child and her boyfriend — off the road during a suspected domestic altercation last week in Clinton Township. No one was injured.
State police arrested Jason L. Armour, 40, of Clinton Township, who also is accused of threatening the other man's life during the incident May 31 on the 100 block of Sarver Road,
Armour faces a hearing Wednesday before District Judge District Judge Sue Haggerty on three counts of simple assault and charges of terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment. He is free on $2,500 bond.
Police said they were called shortly before 9 p.m. for a domestic disturbance, and spoke to the defendant's wife. She recounted that her husband “came straight at her vehicle while he was in his vehicle on Miller Road,” according to charging documents.
The woman was in the vehicle with her 12-year-old son and her boyfriend, police said. She told investigators that after she drove past Armour, he “came up behind her vehicle at a high rate of speed and forced her off the roadway.”
Armour got out of his vehicle and punched the windows of her vehicle, the woman allegedly told police. He also threatened the other man's life, saying, “He is dead,” documents said.
Police said they later arrested Armour at his home.
