A New Castle man charged with fondling a boy and then threatening him pleaded guilty in Butler County Court on Tuesday.

Jonathan P. Amos, 20, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment before Judge William Shaffer.

The plea agreement calls for a sentence of 11 to 22 months in jail followed by 18 months probation, restitution and fines. The agreement also calls for no contact with the victim in the case, as well as the application of a three-year sexually violent protection order against him.

He is scheduled for sentencing next week.

Amos was initially charged with felony corruption of minors, misdemeanor terroristic threats and indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old after an incident in Aug. 20, 2016, in Jackson Township.

The simple assault and harassment charges to which he pleaded were later added, and the remaining charges will be withdrawn as part of the plea.

Pennsylvania State Police filed the charges after allegations that Amos inappropriately touched a 12-year-old boy in a bathroom stall at the Conway Sportsman's Club on Magill Road. The boy was attending a family reunion at the time.

The boy told Amos, who was 18 at the time, to stop. Amos told the boy that if he told anyone about the encounter, Amos would burn down the boy's house, police say.

Amos continues to be held in Butler County Prison pending sentencing.
