Mary Ellen Nulph, 71, of 200 Lincoln Ave. died at 12:05 p.m. Wednesday at Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Butler, Dec. 14, 1935, she was the daughter of Walter and Ellen Heade Leslie.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was active in Bible study classes. She also was active in social events at Butler Arbors.

Mrs. Nulph was a graduate of Butler High School, and she retired in 1996 from the activities department of Sunnyview Home.

She is survived by two sons, Rich Nulph of Natrona Heights and Randy Nulph of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Mary Ann Walchesky of Cabot and Barbara Mascilli of North Versailles, and 10 grandchildren. A brother, Donald Leslie of Saxonburg, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
