Adams turkey raffle set for Nov. 19
The annual Adams Area Fire District’s traditional turkey raffle continues this year at the district’s new fire station on Route 228. It will be followed by an open house.
Tickets are 50 cents each and the winner will receive a frozen turkey in time for Thanksgiving.
The event will begin at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at the fire station with the raffle from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The open house will follow the raffle to around 4:30 p.m.
District members will host public tours of the fire station and fire apparatus.
Photo opportunities will be available and the children will have the chance to dress in firefighter turnout gear. Fire safety lessons will be given.
