Mary C. Joy

Mary C. Joy, 93, of Butler died at 12:55 p.m. Friday at the Lowrie House in Butler.

Born June 2, 1914, in Natrona, she was the daughter of Jacob W. and Lila Harrison Carr.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Joy was also a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Armco Country Club where she played and enjoyed golf and bridge. She was also active in other bridge groups.

Surviving are her son, James R. Joy of Mercer; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Joy, who died May 22, 1994; a son, Joseph Joy Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Joy of Butler.

<B>JOY — </B>Friends of Mary C. Joy, who died Friday, June 29, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>thompson-miller funeral home </B>in Butler. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. David Panther officiating.
