Melody Jean Grossman, 55, of Branchton Road in Slippery Rock Township died Tuesday at Grove City Medical Center.

Born in Grove City, Aug. 25, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Nat M. Grossman and the late Cora Jean McCandless.

She worked as a receptionist/clerk in the music industry.

She was a member of Branchton United Methodist Church and the Tri-State Music Association.

Surviving are two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rex M. Grossman of Slippery Rock and Don L. and Kathy Grossman of Greenville, S.C.; three nieces; two nephews; an aunt, and three uncles.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry.

<B>Grossman</B> — Friends of Melody Jean Grossman, who died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will follow at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ted Walwick, former pastor of Branchton United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at North Washington Cemetery.
