E. Maude Rieger
E. Maude Rieger, 92, of West Sunbury died at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday at home surrounded by her daughter, son, son-in-law, and caregiver, Doris Jean Clark.
Born May 27, 1915, in West Sunbury, she was the daughter of James Floyd and Florence Olive Boozel Smith.
Mrs. Rieger was a homemaker and a member of the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Don (Jean) Vidie of West Sunbury; a son, William Jon Rieger of Butler; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Summerville of Butler and Ruth Smith of Elizabethtown, Tenn.; four brothers, Bill Smith and Art Smith of California, Bob Smith of West Sunbury and Todd Smith of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Rieger, who died July 8, 2006. Also preceding her in death were two sisters and six brothers.
<B>RIEGER</B> — Friends of E. Maude Rieger, who died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 W. Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the West Sunbury Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wayne Bell, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
