Catherine E. Sampson
Catherine E. "Kay" Sampson, 70, of the Evergreen Nursing Home, Harmony, died at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday at the center.
Born Aug. 31, 1937, in Butler, she was the daughter of Edgar H. and Ann D. Munro Butler.
She was a graduate of the University of Southern Florida, where she earned her MBA in nursing and had been a registered nurse at the Butler Memorial Hospital and the North Miami General Hospital. She was a member of the BMH Nurses Alumni Association
She was Presbyterian, and she was an avid Steelers fan.
Surviving are a brother, Grant M. Butler of Florida; two sisters, Amelia "Minnie" Butler Vogel and Mary "Jody" Butler Johnston, both of Butler; three nieces; eight nephews; 12 great-nieces; three great-nephews; a great-great niece; and a great-great nephew.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie H. Butler, and a sister, Loveina Butler.
<B>SAMPSON</B> — A memorial service for Catherine E. "Kay" Sampson, who died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, will be held at the convenience of the family.
