Lois Jean Huey Peters

Lois Jean Huey Peters, 84, of Zelienople, formerly of McCandless Township, died Friday at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born July 14, 1923, in Connellsville, she was the daughter of George and Helen Dawson Huey.

Mrs. Peters was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland, McCandless Township, and an associate member of English Lutheran Church, Zelienople. She received her R.N. degree from Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing where she served that institution and other doctors in private practice for many years. She was a member of the AGH School of Nursing Alumni Association and was a former member of the Longvue Women's Club.

She enjoyed sewing, traveling and gardening and was a great cook and candy maker.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Curtis A. Peters; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann "Bethann" and Phil Penrod of Marshall Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elizabeth Peters of Franklin Township; two grandsons, Eric and Alan Penrod and two granddaughters, Lyndsey and Nichole Peters.

<B>PETERS — </B>Friends of Lois Jean Huey Peters, who died Friday, March 28, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Private services and interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Passavant Retirement Community, 401 S.
