Ellis Zang Jr.
Ellis P. Zang Jr., 78, of Fenelton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026.
He was born June 2, 1948, son of the late Ellis P. Zang and Mary (Katzko) Zang.
He graduated from Butler High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he worked for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
Ellis enjoyed the great outdoors and found joy in hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
He is survived by two sons, James (Stacie) Zang and Allen (Stacy) Zang; grandchildren, Mia, Collyn, Mackenzie and Kendra; brother, Bill (Pearl) Katzko; and sisters, Bonnie (Butch) Grossman and Sandra Baldwin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice (McKee) Zang, whom he married March 5, 1977, and who passed away June 30, 2018.
ZANG — A visitation for Ellis P. Zang Jr., who died Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at Greenlawn Burial Estates Chapel, conducted by the Butler County Honor Guard.
