Marjorie M. Cooper

Marjorie M. Shaffer Cooper, 85, of 200 Book Road, Slippery Rock, died at 10:34 p.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Born Jan. 26, 1923, in Princeton, she was the daughter of Roy K. Shaffer and Florence M. Jones.

She was self-employed at a beauty shop and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was a member of the Mary Ramsey Missionary Society and the Princeton Memorial Church.

She is survived by a son, David R. Cooper of Slippery Rock; a brother, Thomas R. Shaffer Sr. of New Castle; and a sister, Norma Michels of New Castle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard L. Cooper, whom she married Feb. 27, 1952, and who died Jan. 27, 2008.

<B>COOPER</B> — Friends of Marjorie M. Shaffer Cooper, who died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday the <B>R. Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Cheryl Waguespack of the Princeton Memorial Church officiating.
