Barbara Ann Hicks, 52, died Saturday in Woodbridge, Va.

Barbara was born Aug. 25, 1956, in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of Joseph and Teresa (Pietz) Schneider of Butler.

Barbara was a volunteer for the VFW at Post 1503.

Other than her parents, survivors include her husband, John Wayne Hicks; one son, Erik Douglas Stewart and his wife, Breanna, of Fredericksburg, Va.; one daughter, Melissa Marie Weaver and her husband, Teddy, of Stafford, Va.; five sisters, Donna McGinley and her husband, Jim, of Butler, Peggy O'Brien and her husband, John, of Butler, Shirley Penrod of Butler, Terry O'Sullivan of New York and Patti Baptist of Butler; and two brothers, Mike Schneider of Georgia, and Tony and Jane Schneider of Cannonsburg. She also is survived by two grandsons, Justin Tyler Stewart and Devon Alan Weaver, and numerous nieces and nephews.

<B>HICKS</B> — Family and friends of Barbara Ann Hicks, who died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, are invited to celebrate her life from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the <B>Mountcastle Funeral Home</B>, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, Va.
