Frank E. Schwarz, formerly of Ross Township, died Tuesday.

Mr. Schwarz was a member of the 7th Armored Division Association, Service Company 48th Armored Infantry Battalion. He fought in five battles during World War II, including the Battle of the Bulge.

He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Schwarz; father of Jeffrey A. (Elizabeth) Schwarz of Muddy Creek Township; brother of the late Thelma Schwarz; grandfather of Jeffrey Jr. (Judy), Jason and Jonathan (Katie) Schwarz and Jessica (Terry) Bolar; and great-grandfather of Lillian Bolar and Sara Schwarz.
