Joy McCollough, 85, of Frostproof, Fla., died of heart failure Tuesday at her home.

Born July 28, 1921, in Tampa, Fla., she lived in Orlando, Fla., before moving to Frostproof, Fla., 36 years ago.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof, Fla., and Eastern Star.

She was a past president of the Frostproof Women's Club and was a Girl Scout leader.

Mrs. McCollough loved to cook, sew and entertain.

Surviving are her husband, Clyde E. McCollough, who is originally from Chicora; two daughters, Sandra Mathews of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Kathlene Ward of Orlando, Fla.; three sons, Ross Bryant of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Johnny Rountree of Orlando, Fla., and Robert McCollough of Frostproof, Fla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ross Bryant, and her second husband, John Rountree.

<B>MCCOLLOUGH — </B>Friends of Joy McCollough, who died Tuesday, July 24, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>steighner funeral home, </B>111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hillview Cemetery in Chicora with the Rev. James A. Higgins officiating. <B></B>Funeral services were held Thursday in Frostproof, Fla.
