Edward R. Hickey of Escondido, Calif., formerly of Butler, died May 8, 2010, at the age of 75.

He was the son of W. Russell and Mildred Frederick Hickey.

He was a Butler businessmen and musician before moving to San Diego, Calif., in 1973, to establish a water purification business.

His wife, Bernie McCarthy Hickey, died in 1991.

He is survived by three children, Donald Hickey of San Diego, Calif., William Hickey of Cottonwood, Ariz., and Sandy Campbell of Marengo, Iowa; and six grandchildren.

He wishes his friends in the Butler area many happy memories.
