Thomas A. Beidl
Thomas A. Beidl, 79, of Corsica, Jefferson County, formerly of Mars, died Saturday morning at Jefferson Manor Health Care in Brookville.
Born Jan. 30, 1931, in Millvale, he was the son of the late Jacob and Marie Kroha Beidl.
Tom was a self-employed home builder in the Mars area for many years.
He was a member of the Old Union Presbyterian Church and was an avid hunter, gardener and farmer.
An Army private in the Korean War, he served with the 7th Infantry Division and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Weller Beidl, who he married Feb. 7, 1953; three daughters, Trish A. Moore and her husband, Greg, of Rockwell City, Iowa, Darlene A. Kersey of Summerville, and Jill A. Beidl of Slippery Rock; two sons, Timothy R. Beidl of Telluride, Colo., and Robert D. Beidl and his wife, Kimberly, of Clarion; grandchildren, Timothy, Amanda, Tamara, Tabatha, Robert Beidl Jr., and Heather; and great-grandchildren, Tyler and Andrea.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas J. Beidl; a brother, Joseph Beidl; and a sister, Dorothy Puseteri.
