Amos M. Campbell Jr., aka Famous Amos and Jupie, 82, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away Sunday.

He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Greenville to Amos and Elizabeth (née Armagost) Campbell.

He opened a confectionaire stand, "Karmel Korn," in Ohio and went all over the country doing old-fashioned Jupie taffy pulls.

He is survived by his wife, Florence (née Simpson); children, Michael (Rhonda), Phillip (Pamela Venus), Jeffrey (Lynn Ann), Elizabeth "Becky" (Bill) Steele and Ella Jane Campbell; siblings, Wayne (Donna) Campbell, JoAnn Garing, Fred (Marjorie) Campbell and Roberta Vincel; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Freda, of 53 years; his parents; a brother, Frank; a sister, Jane (Miles) Rogers; and two brothers-in-law.

Campbell Jr., aka Famous Amos and Jupie, who died Sunday, May 23, 2010, may join the family for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Carlson Funeral Homes & Cremation Services</B>, Brunswick, Ohio. Visitation also will be for one hour before the 11 a.m. Thursday funeral service at the First Christian Church in Columbiana, Ohio. Please meet at the church.
