Kathie Jean Puller Meeder, 69, of Strasburg, Va., passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in Butler on Jan. 10, 1957, to Donald Lee Puller and Rachel Ruth Hilgar Puller.

Kathie attended Broad Street and Emily Brittain elementary schools and Butler junior and senior high schools. In high school, she participated in swing chorus and orchestra. Kathie graduated from Butler High School in 1975.

After high school, she attended Butler County Community College and the School of Computer Technology in Pittsburgh.

Kathie worked for Management Science Associates in Pittsburgh from 1978 to 1982.

She married Keith Meeder on June 12, 1982, and moved to Front Royal, Va., in 1988.

Kathie enjoyed baking and spun that hobby into a home business. Later, she also crafted scrapbooks and greeting cards.

God was an important part of her life and she always encouraged her sons to read the Bible and attend church.

She is survived by her husband, Keith; sons, Gregory, Julian, Nicholas and Elliot; grandchildren, Savannah, Landon and Weston; brother, Dennis Puller (Penny), of Nacogdoches, Texas; and sister, Becky Kelly (David), of Redmond, Wash.

A memorial service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church in Winchester, Va., on Aug. 8, 2026, at 11 a.m.
